I'm back with my thoughts on the Ology shampoo and conditioner. Where should I began, I purchased these items from Walgreens for about 7 bucks a few months back and many of you ladies was looking forward to my review. So here it is, I have good news and bad news about these products. Let's do the bad news:
The shampoo is horrible in my opinion. I nor my hair didn't like it at ALL! The consistency was very watery like the shampoo was diluted. I decided not to judge a book by it's cover or should I say a shampoo by it's consistency and proceed. I took about a quarter size amount for my entire head and it just wasn't doing the trick. I found my myself going back for more and more shampoo in effort to get the lather I desired. I again looked past the lather situation and waited to see if this shampoo would clean my hair. (It didn't) I would have been better off just rinsing my hair with just water instead of using this shampoo. So in conclusion for the shampoo it's thumbs down for me. However as I always say try it out and see how it works for you and your hair before counting it out.
Now unto the good news the conditioner was pretty great. The consistency was thick which my hair loves and it had great slip once on my hair. I love a conditioner where I can just finger detangle in the shower and this definitely did the trick. The smell of pear and cucumber was awesome and the way this responded to my hair made up for my experience or lack there of with the shampoo. I should also mention that both these products are free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfate, silicones, phthalates, dyes, artificial fragrances and the bottle is also made from 100% post-consumer materials. I do plan on repurchasing this especially since my daughter's natural hair loved it too!
